Story
In just a few weeks, I will be joining my colleagues in raising support for St. Giles Trust. Over the course of a week, I will be summiting the highest peaks in Albania, the Republic of North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Montenegro.
This challenges involve a week of tough hiking at altitude with steep ascents/descents, 9 hours a day hiking and bare minimum facilities. This will be a huge mental and physical challenge and a test of stamina (who has seen '127 Hours' ). After our row from Dover to Dunkirk last year, I'm just happy to be staying on land :D
The reason we are putting ourselves through this is to raise funds and awareness for St. Giles Trust. St Giles Trust is a charity that aims to help people facing severe disadvantage to find jobs, homes and the right support they need. St. Giles has a strong focus on empowering young people to stay safe and make positive choices for their future. 50,000 children in the UK are exploited by gangs every year and St. Giles Trust do fantastic work to educate children on the dangers of gangs, exploitation and knife crime, and help them to become positive contributors to local communities and wider society.
This is an incredible cause, so please donate generously!
