Hi!

My name is Joshua and I am 7 years old. I live in Southampton and go to Sholing Junior School. My aim is to raise as much money as possible to help save our last flying British Bomber, Vulcan XH558. I love to watch the Vulcan fly, she is so big and fun to watch.

The Vulcan can only keep flying if donations are made to keep it in the air, I am only 7 and would love to watch her fly for another few years yet. My aim would be to fly her myself one day but my Grandad tells me she will be out of flying hours by then. So thats where I am lucky as I have had the chance to see her close up and even go into the cockpit. So this plane is very special to me. She is also part of our History.

So thats why I am going to do my best to raise money for Xh558, It's my way of helping to keep for flying for a bit longer. To do this I am going to do a 20 mile bike ride between Bournmouth and Boscombe piers, as thats roughly the distance she fly's during an air show. This will hopefully be done on the 7th/8th of March but I will get back here as soon as I can to let you know for sure.

Hello!

I want to say a huge Thankyou to everyone who has donated so far! I am so excited to be doing this and I am amazed at how much I have raised. Grandad has said that the ride will take place on Easter Sunday, so at least everyone knows when I'm going to be doing it. :)

I just want to say thankyou to everyone who has supported me and sponsered me to do my bike ride for XH558. I loved doing the bike ride and it was a lovely sunny day. My Mama made me a big chocolate cake for when I finished riding! I can't wait to think of something else to do next year, so watch this space as I will be back!!
