Update: Well I have completed my main challenge of trekking for 10 days in Peru and what an experience it was but also one of the hardest things I have ever done! My trek covered 56k of forgotten wind-swept valleys, over wild mountain passes and ting, isolated Andean villages all at an altitude of between 4000m – 4700m. Macho Picchu was amazing and finished the trip off nicely.

But just because I have completed the Peru Trek doesn’t mean my challenge has finished! I set out this year to try and complete 30 sporting events / activities before March 2012 (1 year) due to it being the year I turned the big 3 0. I still have a few challenges left to complete and below are a list of the events I have taken part in and coming up!

26th Feb - Brutal 10K - Camberley - It has steep hills, energy-sapping climbs and mud by the truckload.

12th Mar - Horseplay 5K - Henley on Thamas - obstacles, mud, water & a final furlong

26th Mar - Richmond Riverside 10K - Richmond

2nd Apr - Clandon Park 4K Fun Run - Guildford

16th Apr - Bolt the Holt 10K - Borden - compact forest trails with some cheeky inclines

2nd May - Headley Fun Run - 5miles 

12th May - Beat the Banana - Hyde Park 5K - aim of the race is to finish before the man in the full size banana suit!!!

15th May - Farnham Blue Bell 5K

30th May - Bupa 10K - London

11th June - Aerobathon - 3 hours of aerobics in a morning acting as a candidate for a friend doing her exercise to music class

18th June - Race for Life 5K - Guildford - In special memory of my Grandad

19th June - Lois Russell Memorial 5-A-SIDE Tournament hosted by Reading Ladies FC.

26th June - Big Zest Adventure - a combination of running, cyclying, kayaking and some mystery challenges over 10K

1st July - Elstead Marathon - but i'm not doing 26.2miles - just the 5mile ladies race.

3rd July - Dorking Stoolball Tournament - A day of stoolball action which is a cross between rounders and cricket.

8th July - Charity Quiz Night with Fish & Chip Supper - Charterhouse Club, Godalming £12.00 per person & all funds going direct to Children's Trust. Call 01483 239600 for more details

10th July - Asics British 10K London - I will be joining 25,000 other people for this race

10th Sept - Alice Holt 10K - another run around the forest in this multi-terrain course

24th Sept - Windsor 8K - a run with stunning views around Windsor Great Park

21st Oct - Peru 10 day Trek

20th Nov - Hawkley 10k - Liss Run Club

26th Nov - Hellrunner - a course which is between 10 - 12miles through water, mud and sand and really will take you to hell and back

26th Dec - Boxing Day Hash Run - at Queen Elizabeth Country Park
