Story

A big thank you to everyone who came out to support my run & bike ride on Saturday. The whole day was magic and support from runners, spectators and friends was wonderful. The promotion of Brathay's work and donations to help disadvantaged young people has been fantastic. I've increased my target to £15,000 as a result of the generous support so far. For images and updates from the day please email: scott.umpleby@brathay.org.uk ......and follow @BrathayRunning on Twitter. Thank you again!

On 25th June I will follow a route across the fells from Caldbeck to Wasdale. I'm running in memory of my father, Joe Naylor, who was born in Caldbeck and moved to Wasdale in 1927. This run also marks my 80th birthday and is raising funds to help some of the most disadvantaged children & young people in the UK.

The route I'll follow is: Caldbeck - Parkend - Branthwaite - Fell Side - Laal Scafell - Knott - Great Calva - Skiddaw House - Little Town - Dale Head Tarn - Honister - Grey Knotts - Gillercombe - Base Brown - Sty Head - St. Olaf's Church - Middle Row - pack-horse bridge - Bowderdale - Low Greendale.

Your support will be much appreciated. Thank you.

We work with a wide range of young people, often with fewer opportunities in life, including those managing the transition from living in care to independence, at risk of exploitation in unhealthy relationships, needing confidence to find work or training, or facing other challenges in their lives.
