My story
I am proud to be associated with a fantastic charity called Contact The Elderly. We organise local tea parties one Sunday a month with the help of an army of volunteer drivers & volunteer hosts. The tea parties provide a vital lifeline to isolated & lonely elderly people, just like Iris & Vera, especially in these times of public sector cuts.

<p>We are the only national charity solely dedicated to fighting loneliness and acute isolation in old age. We organise regular, monthly tea parties on a Sunday afternoon in the homes of our volunteers across the UK. These outings are a ray of light in the lives of older people living alone; giving them something to look forward to in the knowledge that someone cares and the opportunity to make new and lasting friendships with fellow guests and our volunteers. </p> <p>Contact the Elderly is a registered charity in England and Wales (244681) and in Scotland (SC039377) </p>
