My name is Alice. I am 16 years old and on Thursday 16th January 2014 i am having my hair shaved to raise money for Airplay. My dad is in the RAF, currently with 51 Sqn RAF Regiment in Afghanistan. I want to do something for Airplay to thank them for the fantastic support they give to me, my sisters and other RAF children, especially when dad is away.

Airplay is a place we can go to, to chat, socalise and let off steam. All the children who go know what it is like to be a RAF child, to experience moving home, making new friends, going to new schools and not having extended family living nearby.It's not always easy to fit in and having a parent away is hard. This is the fourth Christmas that my dad has been away from home in nine years.

My cut off hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment throughout the UK and Ireland.

To enable me to support two such worthwhile causes, please give as much as you can.
