My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Judy was my sister. She was an optometrist who worked in the north west of Australia. She cared passionately about the work of the North West Eye Programme (NWEP) and after her untimely death a Memorial Scholarship Fund was set up in her name.
The fund will allow optometry students to work as part of the NWEP and gain experience in the provision of eyecare to some of the most needy people in the country.
Judy would be immensely proud and thrilled if she knew that, arising from her very sad and early death, optometry students would experience the joy and fulfilment from providing eye care to otherwise impoverished people.

Optometry Giving Sight aims to eliminate avoidable blindness amongst the 670 million people worldwide who are blind or vision impaired simply because they do not have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses. You can help fund sustainable projects which give sight and hope to those in need.
