I am taking on Mount Kilimanjaro next September as a personal challenge and also to raise money for a small charity in need of support!

As you know I work on the Roads Policing Dept within Thames Valley Police and a major role I undertake is dealing with fatal collisions. Part of this role is helping the familes who have been affected by a collision and the Taplow Charity Trust helps children who have lost a family member by giving them support and times to look forward to, such as a holiday. The charity was set up and run by officers from the department in conjunction with working full time. 

Climbing 'Kili' is going to be a massive challenge and will be done over 7 days treking and climbing for between 6-8 hours per day. We will start in rainforest, go through desert and end up in snow and extreme cold! I will be undertaking a lot of training, including climbing mountains in the lakes, Snowdonia and any other places people invite me along too! Anyone fancies joining me let me know! :) I will update this page as time goes along with my progress and photos to prove im putting the work in!
