My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am walking the whole of Hadrian's Wall with my pals Anna & Helen on the 4th April 2012. it is approx 65 miles and will take us almost a week...yikes!
I am given to doing these challenges yearly now it would appear and this year I would like to raise money for charity. I feel I'd like to give money to a smaller, more local charity and one with whom I am comitted to helping, as the smaller charities need the most help.
Below is an outline of Eikon who you will be helping should you wish to sponsor me.
Eikon is a dynamic and successful, Surrey-based charity, focused on innovative early intervention programmes which confront the social issues facing young people today. Support is provided in the pivotal years, with the aim of developing thriving and resilient young adults.
Eikon’s desired outcomes are that:
· Young people will be better equipped to make positive, independent choices, when faced with life challenges.
· Young people will have greater confidence, aspiration and resilience.
· The need for costly subsequent social intervention will be avoided.

Eikon exists to work alongside young people and families living in difficult or unhappy circumstances. We provide support, counselling and coaching in difficult cases from parents’ separation to suicidal tendencies. In all circumstances our aim is to support young individuals and families to restore their unity and stability to ensure a more positive future.
