IMPORTANT UPDATE

I HAVE RAISED OVER £3000 AS OF 22 NOVEMBER 2013

THANK YOU TO ALL MY SPONSORS XXX

Well I did it !!!

I don't know how I did it as I was numb with the cold (it was -22 degrees at the summit), very tired with the effort of the climb and mentally shot with the experience of climbing at altitude. Thanks to Bryan Robson who was there to give me a big hug at the summit x

The important thing is I did it for the charities and I have raised nearly £3000 which is fantastic. Between the team that did the climb, we have raised over £110,000 !!!!!  Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me and to my family and friends who have supported me in undertaking this challenge.

The team of people I did the challenge with were also instrumental in me achieving the challenge, thank you all. Special thanks to my "buddy", Larissa and to my " buddy buddies", Ray and Andy.  Also, thanks to Colin who, following the final briefing session, before the ascent, reassured me that I WOULD get to the summit !!!

I am taking part in the Bryan Robson Kilimanjaro challenge on the 17-26 October 2013 in aid of the Manchester United Foundation.

The Foundation aims to educate, motivate and inspire future generations to build communities for all by delivering in five areas, Football, Community Cohesion, Health, Education and Charities.

in 2012, I took part in my first charity challenge following full recovery from breast cancer in 2011. I completed the Hadrian's Wall trek with the Manchester United Foundation alongside Nicky Butt and a fantastic group of people who helped one another complete the challenge. The trek was such fun but a real physical and mental challenge for me personally. I knew that the next challenge will be greater but one I am willing to do for the wonderful charities that the Foundation supports. Especially close to my heart is the Christie Hospital which is one of the charities that the Foundation supports.
