Hi Everyone,

 

On Sunday 5^th June 2011, my mum and I, are taking part in a 5 mile walk around the village of Liss, Hampshire. We’re looking raise funds to help fight Liver Disease.

 

The walk is part of a major fund-raising event called ‘MAGStock’, which has been organised by my mum and dad’s next door neighbour, Gordon Dunse.

 

Over 200 people have already signed up to take part!

 

Gordon’s wife Margaret lived with liver disease (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis) for 16 years. Last year she developed Cancer of the Bile Duct, (Cholangiocarcinoma), and sadly she died within 6 weeks of the diagnosis.

 

I grew up with Gordon, Margaret and their children, living next door and naturally am keen to do all I can to support this worthy cause. 

  

The British Liver Trust has agreed to ring-fence all the funds raised to support research into early diagnosis.
