People with rarer cancers often feel isolated and find it difficult to get accurate information about their illness. We offer advice and information, put people in touch with others for support, raise awareness of less common cancers, and work to secure the best possible services for patients and their families.

Story

Hi all,

As you are all well aware by now I don't really like running, so why, I put myself through these charity events I don't know !!... Well it's me giving my bit to them, rather than do something I actually enjoy....Who said it was meant to be easy?? So this year I have added a bit more distance to the event to make it even harder than last years 10k (RunKingston 8.2 Miles 8am start!!)

Research suggests that up 52% of all cancers diagnosed could be classified as "rarer". From a patient's point of view can feel isolated and confused, as not many to share experiences. The Rarer Cancers Foundation aims to ensure that people with rarer cancers have access to the best services and outcomes.

Please dig deep, I know you always do every year I sign up for another of my challenges....

Julia xx

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
