As you maybe aware I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2011 and after surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a number of other drugs I am now living in the world of NED (no evidence of disease!).  It has been a long hard slog not only for me but for my whole family to deal with and now Bruce and I would like to give something back. 

I am joining a group of 'breast friends' to complete the Snowdon challenge for a very brave lady Karen who attempted to climb Snowdon last year despite breast cancer spread to spine, hip, neck nodes and liver and a partially collapsed lung - unfortunately the weather was atrocious and Karen was unable to finish.

I have enlisted Bruce as one of our 'sherpa's'.  All who know him will understand why he is just perfect for the job!  The date of the climb is the 1st June which is Camerons birthday but he is happy for us to do this as he knows what a great cause it is (wow he is growing up!).

So.... we are a group of women of varying ability (by that I mean most are completely out of shape!) but we have all undergone treatment for breast cancer and what we lack in fitness we more than make up for in determination.  So on June 1st 2013 we will complete the Life Climb that Karen would dearly love to do. Please give as much as you can for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that has been a lifeline for many of us. Thank you all.
