I am running a 5k as part of a team challenge with friends who work at Brightside. I will also be dressed as a Superhero. Costume suggestions on a postcard, please!

Apart from making me feel good your money will go towards our first ever mentoring awards. Why would I want my money to go to this you might ask? Well, our volunteer mentors have been working hard all year to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds (their mentees) get in to education and employment. We think both the mentees and mentors should be recognised and rewarded for all their hard work and achievements.

If we raise more than we need for that, the money will go towards providing equipment and resources for 10 young people to volunteer with us so they can get training, make videos, write and campaign.
