Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
About nine years ago I was lucky enough to meet the most wonderful person in the world. I was even luckier that we fell in love and got married. Now we have a wonderful life with our children and our beautiful baby girl together. However as always life is not fair and my husband has a rare and very cruel disease which is attacking his eyesight. Guy is such a wonderful, brave, generous person that he tries to adapt to everyday life, often hiding his disability from everyone especially us, his family. However now this wretched disease is attacking his optical nerve and the disease is progressing swiftly. Soon he may lose his eyesight completely and then he will not be able to see all the things that we take for granted everyday, such as his little girl growing into a beautiful young lady or his eldest son's children.
Retinitis Pigmentosa is a very rare disease and there is no cure but the more research that can be done into this awful disease the better, it might not help Guy but as this is an inherited disease if any of his children or children's children have it then any research might just save them from going blind.
Guy is a very brave and proud man and I wish with all my heart I could share my eyes with him but as I can't then all I can do is support and love him and to try and raise awareness of Retinitis Pigmentosa and support more research to maybe help in the future.
