<p>The Jesus House of Prayer, also known as The Zaccheus house, is a place of refuge for women and children in the troubled city of Jericho. It's a place where kids can come for music, crafts, sports and a safe place to be, well, kids! We were privilaged to visit with them on a recent mission trip to Israel and had our hearts truly touched by the dedicated staff and volunteers who daily reach out to women and children whose lives have been fractured through poverty, violence and alchoholism. Because of those dedicated folks supported by prayers and financial gifts from all over the world, the Zaccheus house continues to be a beacon of joy and hope to women and children who don't nearly have enough of either. It is truly an oasis in a dry land. At this time they are desperately in need of resourses as they are existing at near poverty level. This March I have dedicated the Half Marathon in Lisbon in support of this wonderful cause.The funds we raise together will be distributed by the Bible Society directly to The Jesus House of prayer.
