Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi my name is Julie Gannon,

am doing the 15 miles wirral walk for MOWLL (moving on with life and learning), a charity very close to my heart. last year I did the wirral walk for Gary Skelly.

Gary was a popular Self Advocate at MOWLL who quickly made good friends among the group. He was killed in a hate crime attack near his home in Norris Green in September 2010. A 21 year old man hit him with a single punch in a completely unprovoked attack. He is now serving seven years in prison.

After Gary's death his friends at MOWLL wanted to make sure he was never forgotten and we hope this project will ensure his name and his values continue to have a positive impact on the lives of other Liverpool residents.

9 out of every 10 people with a learning disability have been, or are being, bullied. This must stop!

So please dig deep and donate now.
