This year I am running for Alzheimer's Society, and I'm running in memory of my granddad, who sadly died in the summer of 2009. Me and my granddad were very close, and went everywhere together. We were inseperable from me being a baby, until he was diagnosed with Alzheimers when I was 18 years old. It was hard on everyone. He went from being the one that everyone relied on, to being someone who always needed help. It was especially hard on my grandma, who cared for him every day, even when it was more difficult than usual.

His death is still hard now, and I miss him every day.

I love you granddad. Rest In Peace.
