Story

<p>Thank you&nbsp;for visiting the fundraising page of the Great Highland Hurtle, raising funds for the Highland Rheumatology Unit, based&nbsp;in Dingwall.</p> <div>This Unit, the only one of its kind in <span id="lw_1300220413_2" class="yshortcuts">Scotland</span>, provides unparalleled inpatient and&nbsp;outpatient care for sufferers of <span id="lw_1300220413_3" class="yshortcuts">rheumatic conditions</span>, transforming the lives of sufferers, allowing them to remain independent. The Highland Rheumatology Unit (HRU)&nbsp;is a lifeline&nbsp;for&nbsp;families coping with chronic&nbsp;joint disease&nbsp;and my family&nbsp;was&nbsp;fortunate enough to have had the support of the HRU during my mum's battle with&nbsp;a most debilitating form of rheumatoid arthritis.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>My mum was the bravest and most courageous person you could ever hope to meet and it is in her memory that&nbsp;I&nbsp;take up the Great Highland Hurtle - cycling 320 miles around the Highlands in 5 days, starting on the 22nd June.</div> <div>Please dig deep and donate now in support of the Highland Rheumatology Unit.</div> <div>Thank You</div>
