Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Julie and I have decided to tackle the Moon Walk, a marathon through the streets of London during the night of May 11th/12th to raise much needed funds for breast cancer, in the company of thousands of other women, all walking in their decorated bras! We start at midnight and are hoping to finish the 26 miles plus within seven hours
We are walking the walk in memory of our dear friend Jane Hollins who sadly passed away last October, after a long and courageous fight against breast cancer. She was an inspiration to us all, remaining resolutely cheerful until the end.
We are also walking to celebrate our friend Kath Creswell who having undergone a long and arduous period of treatment is looking forward now to a cancer free future.
But your donations are really necessary for the many people who are still fighting this dreadful disease. We would be very grateful for anything you can spare.
We have been training hard through rain, snow, hail and sleet and we fervently hope that on the night of May 11th/12th it will at least be dry and not freezing cold!!
