This is my first ever race (I'll let you know later if it'll be my last).

The last competitive sporting event I took part in was a lacrosse match in 1988.

I'm going to be 40 soon (too soon for my liking) - how else can I hold back the years?

If I don't run Poppy the Jack Russell will get out of shape.

I spend too much time on my computer.

My children can only offer me 50p each.
