MY WIZO AVIV CHALLENGE - 25TH APRIL - 30TH APRIL 2010
Well it seems as if I am going on a busman's holiday at the end of April.
Yes, I will be raising funds for yet another charity and amazingly enough it is not one for which I have been employed! Equally amazing is the fact that not only am I actively fundraising but I am also going to be getting off my backside to take part in the challenge itself! Wonders will never cease! So what might you ask will I be doing? A triathlon, a trek to the Grand Canyon, perhaps a marathon or more likely for me a sponsored page turning of Hello magazine? No, I will be going to Israel and getting my hands dirty to work for Wizo in one of their day care centres. My activities will include creating a tranquil garden for battered woman and vulnerable children, painting walls, gates and fences and teaching English and cookery amongst other things. This week will be an opportunity for me to make a small difference to people's lives. I will be digging deep to transform an Israeli garden into a safe haven, please dig deep in your pockets to help me to achieve my goal!
Wizo is an international charity which raises funds for families living in poverty and children living at risk in Israel. The organisation runs day care centres, after school clubs and rehabilitates families suffering from domestic violence.
So please donate now. Wizo can change people's lives. Please help me to make that change! Thank you.
