I would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement to get me through the gruelling 13.1 miles. I have achieved my goal of sub 2hrs by completing the course in 1 hr 56 mins and 3 seconds, which I must say is not too bad for 11 weeks of training from scratch.

Thanks for your generous donations to a worthwhile cause which also spurred me along, also I could show face in the office on Monday morning and not having to hand back the cash !!

I would like to thank a very special person, my mother for cheering me on !!:)

I only started running to keep fit in June 2009 and am doing the Bristol Half Marathon on September 6th 2009 to prove that you can do anything if you put your mind and heart into it.  Life is for living and you only live once so make the most of life whilst you can. Enough of the cliche/profound stuff.

I have chosen the BUI Bristol Prostate Cancer Appeal Charity as it is a health issue often overlooked but still very important.

Happiness is not about getting what you want out of life but appreciating what you have.

So if you enjoy seeing me in pain please dig deep and donate now. As they say no pain no gain .... just as long as it is the good pain :)
