<p class="MsoNormal">Thanks for visiting my 2012 London Marathon fundraising page.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I'll be running the 2012 London Marathon on Sunday the 22nd of April to raise money to support the valuable work of the Sickle Cell Society. Some members of my immediate and extended family have sickle cell trait, which will not normally affect them directly, but means that they have a chance of having children with the much more serious disorder of sickle cell anaemia if their partner also has the trait.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">London will be my second full marathon. My goal is to get round the 26.2 miles in under 3 hours and 30 minutes, about 16 minutes faster than my first marathon in Liverpool last October. This should be just about possible as long as bits of me don't drop off or stop working along the way. My rigorous physical and mental preparation has included a series of 6am runs, cold baths and plenty of cake.</p>
