Every 9 days in Scotland a baby or child will die suddenly and unexpectedly - many of their families will never know why they died. As the only charity in Scotland dedicated to the issue of Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI), we provide support, education resources and fund research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We've joined together to raise money in memory of beautiful Layla Jade Lovie.

Sadly on New Years Day at 5.30am 2013, Layla passed away in her sleep, aged 11 days. Layla was a much loved and longed for baby that filled everyone's hearts with joy from the moment she was born.

Losing anyone you love is difficult but when it's a baby at the start of life it leaves your world shattered.

After a little help to concieve, Jenna and Ronald welcomed the safe arrival of their beautiful daughter Layla into the world. She was born on December 21st 2012 at 6.37am weighing a healthy 6lbs 13 & 3/4. All their family and friends could not wait to visit and shower her with love.

In the short time that was spent with Layla many bonds were formed and she was utterly adored. When the news came of Layla's heartbreaking death it filled us with disbelief and plunged her parents into darkness. It has been with support and extreme kindness that they are managing to come through such a sad time.

It is with dignity and strength that that they wish to continue to fundraise for their beautiful daughter and other families.

The Scottish Cot Death Trust have given a valuable and supportive service to Jenna, Ronald and Layla's family and this is the Charity they would like to fundraise for in her memory.
