Event: BUPA London 10,000 2011, on 30 May 2011
We provide UK-wide support and information to improve life after brain injury

Story

On 13th October 2010 at the age of just 11, Elle had a tragic accident and suffered horrific head injuries.  Elle fought for her life for 8 days but sadly lost her battle on the 21st October.  During this time our family were told about Headway, Headway are an organisation that promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provides information, support and services to people with brain injuries and their families.

In memory of Elle, I will be running The Bupa London 10,000, a 10k run, on 30th May with all donations going to Headway.  I am extremely grateful for any sponsorship no matter how small, your generosity will help other people that have been affected by brain injuries and help Headway to continue their fantastic work.

About the charity

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help
