Adidas Women's 5K Challenge 2009 · 6 September 2009 ·

Able Child works toward a world in which no child with a disability is left behind. We support a network of organisations in Africa to protect, educate and amplify the voices of children and young people with disabilities, so they are able to thrive.

Story

Hi everyone

As you probably already know I have decided to run 5k through Hyde Park to raise money for Able Child Africa. I seem to run out of breath after running 100m, so I feel it would be a nice challenge to add another 4900m onto this and see how I go. I am a little nervous, but feel that Able Child Africa is an extremely worthy charity - to get a start in Africa with a disability would be impossible without organisations like this to build schools and provide support.  Please see their web page for more information: http://www.ablechildafrica.org.uk/.

I would really appreciate it if you could sponsor me for my run and give me a reason to try my best. I am putting a lot of work into my training and really want to run it in a decent time (strictly no walking allowed!), so the more sponsorship I can get, the more I will try to make you proud!

Thank you!

Justine
