Dad was truly one of life’s remarkable characters, and my life will never be the same without him, however as we all know life has to go on and in his memory I have challenged myself to cycle 323 miles in 9 days from Ho Chi Minh to Angkor Watt.
Dad was a really avid cyclist and it seems just a perfect way of raising money by choosing this cycling experience in his memory. Dad believed in me long before I did anything to deserve it and supported me through everything, and gave me the opportunity and support to run my Company.
The values and beliefs I was taught as a child still hold good. I still believe in giving back I still believe doing what you can is always better than doing nothing.
It’s going to be my 40 Birthday whilst on the trip, and I have decided that it’s time to push myself & challenge myself to something totally new and raise money for Cancer Research UK. Having just supported a great friend whom has just lost her beautiful mum Jackie to Cancer, after diagnosis to her death it was a very short 9 weeks. Cancer Research UK is my chosen charity and dedicated also in her memory. So with a strict 20 week Cycling Training Programme, and a Goal of Raising £5000, I hope you will share my new journey of Lycra & aching Legs!
