Story
In July I'll be running the London 10K in aid of CICRA (Crohn's in childhood research association), which, for those who know me well, is a charity very close to my heart.
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at the age of 7 and it is a very debilitating illness affecting many children and young people. CICRA funds research into alternative treatments and hopefully eventually a cure for Crohn's Disease and UC, as well as providing vital support and information for the families of those affected. I can't speak highly enough of this charity.
I'm lucky to say I've been in remission for almost 5 years (although its been a rocky road!), but unfortunately the medications that worked for me don't work for everyone, and can result in removal of the bowel being the only option.
Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you! :)
