Kick4Life, set up by a friend of mine and his brother, does some really great work in the small African country of Lesotho, bringing health promotion to children and young adults, without which their lives would be considerably shorter.  They achieve this through bringing people together through football, to break down barriers and stigma, and deliver life changing health promotion messages.

This challenge seemed at the time of signing up like it would be fun.  I now know from the months of training that it will be very difficult, painful and enhausting.  I, along with a group of friends, will climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, in one day, back to back.  This will involve hiking the length of a marathon, up and down several thousand metres of our highest mountains, one of them in total night darkness using head torches.  We will be driven between Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in a minibus, with our only real chance of comfort or sleep, coming at the end of the 24 hours.

I would really appreciate it if you were to be able and willing to donate whatever you feel comfortable giving, to this great charity.  You will feel good for doing it and in a way, you are donating to make me go through a whole lot of pain.  So if that spurs you on more, feel free to base it on that.

I've paid to do this challenge, so none of your money is going to cover my costs, it will be going to the charity to continue its good work.
