Story

On Friday 13th June 2014 at The Original Oak, Headingley, Leeds from 7pm, Jaimie-Lee, Katharine and Kate from the Simpson Millar Family Department are participating in a sponsored firewalking event.....yes a FIREWALK which means we will be exposing our trotters and walking on a bed of hot coal all in the name of charity for HALT - Leeds' leading domestic violence agency.

HALT believes that every person deserves the right to live free from violence. Their mission is to help to achieve change to the lives of victims of stalking & domestic, sexual & honour based violence and abuse in Leeds from a range of advocacy, advice and support related services.

They started in 1994 to help women who had reported a crime of domestic violence to the police.  They have since supported thousands of women and men and their families many of whom were at very high risk of harm or even death.
