<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">Nairobi to Kisumu: a <strong>KOP</strong>ing long way!! - </span><span style="color: #1c1c1c;"><strong>We did it!! 435.13km in under 10.5 hours! Thank you to EVERYONE who sponsored us!!</strong> </span></p>

<p>KOP Warwick Medical students cycle 435km “from Nairobi to Kisumu” in 12 hours</p>

<p>The KOP 2010 team will be cycling 435km in 12 hours as a relay in the fitness suite on main campus on Sunday 27th June. (see our website for more details!!)</p>
<p><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><strong><br /></strong></span><span style="color: #ff0000; font-size: x-small;"><strong>KOP Warwick...</strong></span></span> <span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: x-small;">This is the second year that Warwick Medical School has been involved with KOP and we are determined to make this year even bigger and better than last year!</span></p>

<p>We have all sorts of fundraising activities planned - from bag packs to street collections, Kops and Robbers night and maybe even some sponsored runs!</p>
<p><span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: x-small;">The KOP project we will be supporting and working with this year is VIMA, a non-governmental organisation which offers support for HIV and AIDS orphans and vulnerable children, in the area of Kisumu in Western Kenya, through foster homes and carers; thus offering personal care in a safe, family environment. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">A bit about KOP...</span></strong><br /></span></span><span style="font-size: x-small;">The Kenyan Orphan Project (KOP) was set up by medical students from Nottingham University in 2001 as a response to the plight of the millions of people affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty in sub-Saharan Africa.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: x-small;">In the last 8 years KOP has been involved in establishing a hospital, a health clinic, a primary and secondary school, two community/feeding centres and a support and rehabilitation centre for street children all in the Nyanza province in western Kenya.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: x-small;">Each year groups of medical students from around 10 different universities go to work on the projects KOP supports.
