Update

Well we all eleven made it, starting at 7am from the Plough in Worcester Park and arriving in Brighton at 1:15pm. The weather was perfect and the route an idyllic trip through rural England. Just before Brighton the team split with half going via the cycle route into town whilst the rest of us, as though riding 50 miles wasn't enough, went over the heights of the Devils Dyke before joined the others on the sea front!
We then had one or two well earned beers before making our ways back home with three of us (Ian, Paul and Graham) deciding the challenge of cycling home was one worth our efforts. Again the weather was good and despite one of two dodgy route decisions that saw us scaling a huge hill we didn't need to as well as cycling some miles down the A24 dual carriage way, we made it in good time to complete the 113 mile round trip back at the Plough where we started the day before.
Lastly a big thanks to our support team of John, George and Dan with whom we could n't have made it and of course to all those who have sponsored us. The page will be open for a while longer so if you feel like making a donation then feel free and to help along we have attached a few pictures for your enjoyment and to prove we did in fact get there!
Thanks again - The KT4Wheezers!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We're a group of friends living in Worcester Park (KT4 post code) who were touched by the work of the London Air Ambulance last year when Tim Eggitt, the group Scout Leader of our local scout group, had an accident at home and was treated by the LAA before being rushed to hospital. Tim had touched the lives of all of us through the scouts and we decided it would be good to do something for the LAA to show our appreciation of Tim's achievments.
The LAA do a great job across London and the suburbs and we hope you will support us in this venture. Many of the team haven't ridden a bike for many years and the ride is going to be a real challenge as it's around 50 miles from Worcester Park to Brighton. Added to that, there's also talk of riding back on the Sunday for any that can still bear the thought of getting back on their bike, so we hope that you will support us and the LAA by giving generously.
