Trekking to Everest Base Camp for INS.
We are trekking to the Everest Base Camp this October to raise money for Integrated Neurological Services (INS). INS is an amazing charity that provides caring, rehabilitation, maintenance and support services primarily for people with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease or who have suffered a Stroke. Their services include home visits, therapy groups, education and training &c, and there are many people who have benefitted greatly from their help. See their testimonies on the INS website here (http://www.ins.org.uk) The 2 week Everest Base Camp Trek will require courage, determination, a commitment to train to cope with the altitude and the terrain, and the ability of team members to support each other. It is not quite as tough as scaling the peak of Everest itself, but is very challenging in its own right, involving ascending to 17,500 ft. It is a quantum leap more stretching than our previous charity challenge, the Three Peaks in 2009. So I would be very grateful if you found yourselves able to support me on the Everest Base Camp Trek and thereby directly help INS. All donations are gratefully received, whether small or large.
