This event takes place at the same time as the world-wide renowned London Marathon, the only difference being that the runners will be pounding the cobble-stoned streets of the capital whereas we shall be challenging the waves and currents of the River Thames over the same distance. Kabor supports young women who have all been affected by the Civil War in their African country of Sierra Leone. Some had to resort to living on the streets as prostitutes, whilst others were kept as &lsquo;bush wives' by the rebels during the war and dragged across the country as the war fronts shifted.
