I've done a 60mile sponsored bike ride to raise awareness and money for much needed aid for Syrian refugees.

The crisis in Syria is the biggest humanitarian catastrophe of the 21st century. The conflict is now in its third year and the United Nations estimates that at least 100,000 people have died and the death toll continues to rise daily. On top of this, 1.7 million people have been forced to flee from their homes and seek refuge in camps in neighbouring countries. Women and children make up three-quarters of the refugee population and the vast majority are dependent on aid, having arrived with little more than the clothes they are wearing.

 

 

With the crisis showing no signs of abating and the numbers left homeless and seeking help continuing to increase, there is an urgent need for essential, life-saving food supplies, non-food provisions, medicines and healthcare.

 

 

 

Islamic Help has been working on the ground in Syria and Jordan providing desperately needed food packs to displaced families and to run a mobile clinic giving primary healthcare to families in need of help. Ramadan Food Pack   £150    (includes 20 kilos of rice, 10 kilos of sugar, dates, canned meat, oil, wheat, lentils, tea, tuna and other provisions. Each pack will last a family for a month.)

Iftar Meals for 50 people       £200   

Water for 5 families   £250   

Medical Camp for 1 week      £1000
