I lost my mum to breast cancer in November 2015. She was a wonderful woman, who had bravely fought the illness back in 2009. If I have inherited a tenth of her tenacity and drive I will cross the finish line at the Liverpool Rock n' Roll Marathon.

Nothing will ever bring my mum back but by raising money for Cancer Research UK we can bring the day closer, when they say: 'There is a cure for cancer!' and nobody will ever have to lose their loved ones to this terrible disease.
