<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>As a Deaf mother of a deaf daughter,&nbsp;I&nbsp;fully support DeafSelf as a small charity play scheme based in London&nbsp;for deaf children and hard of hearing children aged 5 to 15 which my daughter attends during school holidays. My daughter really does thrive there&nbsp;as she&nbsp;is exposed to&nbsp;people who use British Sign Language&nbsp;since it is&nbsp;her first language that she can communicate with ease.&nbsp;</p> <p>The reason why I want to&nbsp;fundraise &pound;300 is to assist DeafSelf to continue their work encouraging deaf children&nbsp;to make lasting friendships as well&nbsp;helps reducing isolation, building confidence &amp; improving their quality of life.&nbsp;DeafSelf is&nbsp;giving the deaf children&nbsp;social opportunities in a safe, fun and learning environment.</p> <p>If you do decide to donate no matter how small,&nbsp;I would be very grateful knowing that you are helping&nbsp;my deaf daughter to be in the right learning environment that meet her needs outside my home.&nbsp;</p> <p>Thank you for your time reading this.</p> <p>Karen</p>
