Dear All,

This year I am doing a sprint triathlon on Saturday 5th June at Blenheim Palace.  Distances are 750m swim in a cold, murky lake (can't wait for that bit - not sure how I got into this...), 20k bike ride and 5k run. 

This time I am hoping to raise sponsorship money for the Abbeyfield Society.  This charity is one of the largest voluntary sector UK-wide providers of housing and care for older people, committed to alleviating loneliness while maintaining independence, and now includes around 750 houses managed by professional staff and volunteers, providing support, care and friendship for around 8,000 residents. 

Any money I raise will go directly to benefit two houses - Cunningham House in Pirbright, where I am a volunteer on the House Committee, and Hatch Mill in Farnham, where my mother-in-law is a resident.
