Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

Last year the unthinkable happened. My amazingly fit and healthy husband was diagnosed with GBM4  and died only 54 days after his initial diagnosis. This was at the young age of 41. This vile disease stole my other half and my boys wonderful Papa. It shocks me that this disease has so little funding and such awful prognosis. This has to change!

I want to raise money in my husbands memory and to make my boys proud .Renzo really was an amazing person, I knew we would get married the first time we met. It still shocks me that someone so fit and healthy can be gone so fast because of this horrific disease. It the least I can do to honour his memory, keep his story in the minds of others and hopefully provide much needed funding to help find a cure. I simply don’t want any other families to experience what we have.

I am not a runner and this is a totally crazy thing for me to do.... but in honour of Renzo and the other brain tumor sufferers I will do it!

Run Karen, Run!
