The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Wednesday 12 February I will take to the stage at Alma de Cuba in Liverpool to dance the rumba to raise money for the Prince's Trust.  I am hoping that I will get a great turn-out to support me - I think I will be pretty nervous on the night.   As I set up this page I have now had 5 dance lessons and it is much harder than I thought!  I am also enjoying learning to dance much more than I expected.  I now have the shoes, the dress (my son says it is too short), hair appointment and spray tan booked - I just have to learn to get both my hands and feet to do what they are supposed to be doing at the right time.  It is a bit like learning to drive - too many things to think about at the same time - or maybe that was just me!  You are very welcome to come along to watch - let me know and I can organise tickets at a very reasonable price (funds to Prince's Trust).  If you can't make it (or even if you can) then if you could make a donation to spur me on through learning to co-ordinate my movements into something resembling a dance then it would be much appreciated.  The Prince's Trust is a great charity that really helps youngsters to make something of their lives particularly when they have had difficult and challenging problems to face.  As a committee member I have attended events and heard the young people talk very movingly about how the charity has transformed their lives.  Any donation will help - so please dig deep.  I hope to see you on 12 February - I'll be the one with the short dress, big hair and spray tan!!
