We fund research that will lead to treatments and cures for neurological conditions, we bring researchers together and patients of all disorders, to share ideas, support innovation and deliver results. We are currently involved in trials for DIPG brain tumours, Parkinson's Disease and MND.

<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">KAREN'S BIGGEST CHALLENGE!</span></strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><em>First of all let me thank you for visiting my page, whether it be small or large...... every donation is very much appreciated.</em></span></p> <p><em>To bring you here you will have heard that I am about to take on the biggest challenge of my life so far.......that is to reach the summit of <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Mount Kilimanjaro </span>on the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">17th January 2012</span>.</em></p> <p><em>With having never done anything like this before, I have just 3 months to get in plenty of practice for this huge event. I have done my research and believe you me it is not going to be the easiest........to be truthful....I'm sh***ing myself! A lot of determination, plenty walks, squats and aerobics is on the agenda.......just what i need after a long hard days work! But I aim to achieve and do you all proud. You mostly all know me as being the party girl .....however I can be serious when required :-)</em></p> <p><em>My minimum target to raise stands at &pound;3000 but ideally I would love to at least double/treble this seeing as it is for a great cause and one very close to home. Funding Neuro was established to advance the cure for Brain Tumours, Parkinson's Disease and neurological disorders in general (Alzheimer's, Epilepsy, Strokes, etc). Their immediate goal is to finance trials of a method to deliver drugs to the brain in a safe and effective manner. With trials commencing this year in the means of systems to deliver chemotherapy to brain tumours and another to deliver a protein to treat Parkinson's disease. Hopefully their research continues to grow where "the cure" is found.</em></p> <p><em>A very close family member last year finally gave up her fight against cancer when it had spread to the brain causing the brain tumour.
