<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and a massive thanks to those who have already donated. &nbsp;</p> <p>Meningitis UK has organised a sponsored walk from the Tyne Bridge, Gateshead&nbsp;to the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol which will take place between 1st &amp; 16th October 2011.&nbsp;&nbsp;Participants can join at any stage of the walk for any distance.&nbsp;</p> <p>Bev &amp; I will be walking on 9th October 2011 from Whaley Bridge to Onecote - a total of 22 miles.&nbsp;</p> <p>Meningitis UK is a national charity with a sole focus on prevention and funding lifesaving research to eradicate all forms of meningitis. Meningitis is a terrifying disease which can kill in less than four hours and tragically is most prevalent in children and young people.&nbsp;</p> <p>Meningitis affects thousands of people in the UK every year and devastates families and whole communities, so developing a vaccine will make a huge difference to countless lives.&nbsp;</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
