On Thursday 14 November, my (previously fit and healthy) Dad had an unexpected and massive heart attack at Papworth hospital.

He’s in the Intensive Care Unit, being cared for 24/7 by the medical staff.

Four days later, on Monday 18 November, he came out of sedation and is progressing well - awake and talking, eager for a cup of tea!

I wanted to do something to give back to the hospital that has saved his life. So Phil and I are running the Cambridge Half Marathon on March 8 2020 to raise funds for the hospital charity.
