Following the recent deaths of Jacqueline Procter & Karen Green (Birley) at Royton Cricket Club, my wife, KAREN WADE, has volunteered to raise money for Christie's Hospital in Manchester by climbing Mount Snowdon on Friday 6th August. We have also had cause to visit the hospital and know first hand what an excellent job they do.
  
Whilst many of you know already, I am a regular walker in and around Snowdonia, but Karen is very much a novice, she gets vertigo just going up the stairs!! Therefore, I will be joining her on this demanding walk (3,560 ft) and giving her my support and I hope you will do the same by sponsoring her. She has already had £380 pledged from friends and colleagues at Morrisons and would like to raise at least £1,000.
