Reasons why I should run the London Marathon:

1. It is for a good cause: I'll be raising money and awareness for The Animal Health Trust, a charity that is dedicated to improving the health and welfare of dogs, cats and horses

2. I need a bit of an incentive (a 26.2 mile one...) to get super-fit, super-fast

3. I really want to do it

4. Because it may even stop me eating so much chocolate (but I doubt it!)

Reasons why you should sponsor me and support The Animal Health Trust:

1. The Animal Health Trust is an independent registered charity. Their aim is to further the understanding of disease in animals through scientific research and clinical care. The Animal Heath Trust does not receive government funding and is heavily dependent on generous donations and grants to maintain its position at the forefront of veterinary progress for the benefit of generations of companion animals around the world

2. I'm putting in the hours each week (running outside in the cold and rain is not that enjoyable!) and giving up the mulled wine, Christmas pud and mince pies this winter in exchange for endurance and speedy legs!

3. It's a long, long way

4. I'll eat your chocolate if you don't stop me
