<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p>
<p>As some of you may know, my Mum, Sandra, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. After undergoing surgery and treatment, she is currently waiting to get the 'all clear'.</p>
<p>As a family, we are taking part in this year's Promenade Stages Rally, to be held on Friday 9th & Saturday 10th September 2011 in New Brighton, Merseyside. It is the events 30th Anniversary, and as such a spectator super special stage has been organised for the Friday evening. It is also Mum and Dad's 39th Wedding Anniversary!!</p>
<p>My Mum has not held a competition licence for over 20 years, but decided to set herself a challenge, in a hope to raise funds for York District Hospital's Cancer Care Unit. She also hopes to raise awareness about taking up all screening appointments and to offer encouragement to others battling with the dreaded 'C' word.</p>
<p>She will be driving a Peugeot 106, with me Co-Driving for her, and my Dad, Bill, will be competing in his Lotus Exige, partnered with my 17 year old Sister, Katy.</p>
<p>We would be so grateful for any donations, no matter how small. We are also happy to advertise Company livery on the car, or display banners etc. as this event will be televised on Motors TV So please, please support my page!!</p>
<p>For anybody willing to make a donation, we are also running a small hospitality facility on the Saturday, where you are most welcome to join us for light refreshments.</p>
