<div>As many of you know, I am a new Cantabrigian (resident of Cambridge - I just learned that 2 seconds ago). There is a really great project here to build a beautiful mosque, and I have pledged to raise £5000 towards it.</div>

<div>The community here is growing rapidly (I only upped it by one!) and is in dire need of a purpose-built mosque - people at the moment have to pray on the road every Friday, imagine that in the winter! <div>But <strong>why should YOU donate</strong> from outside Cambridge? This mosque is <strong>a flagship project that will help develop Islam in the UK</strong> as a whole and promote the high standards we need for all our mosques and Muslim organisations - <strong>more beautiful, more accessible for all, more organised, more welcoming</strong>!</div>

<div>We've acquired the land but we need funding to complete the city council's planning procedure and to begin building inshAllah.</div>

<div>7) The mosque is led by <strong>Sheikh Abdal Hakim Murad</strong> and supported by <strong>Habib Ali al-Jifri, Yusuf Islam</strong> and <strong>Sheikh Hamza Yusuf</strong> - leaders who are encouraging great projects like <a href="http://www.mishkatmedia.com">Travelling Light</a> and <a href="http://cambridgekhutbasetc.blogspot.com">Cambridge Khutbas Etc</a>. based in Cambridge.</div>
