As some of you may know, I've been working for TACT for just over a year. TACT is the largest charitable provider of Fostering and Adoption in the UK and I'm incredibly proud to work for them. I could happily spend hours telling you all about the excellent work TACT does and the brilliant outcomes we've achieved for our young people but lets just cut to the chase:
The majority of children in care are there because of abuse or neglect. The horror and despair I’ve felt over some of the life stories of these young people is only countered by the knowledge of the excellent care TACT provides and the successes our young people have achieved.

To support the work TACT does (and in no way because I share an office with our fundraising manager!),I wanted to complete a challenge to raise money for TACT.... And somehow, decided on climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, a mountain so high you can see the curvature of the Earth!
To raise money for this challenge I will be hosting lots of events and completing mini-challenges to help with training.
I am genuinely scared; scared of camping, scared of insects, scared of failing, scared of losing fingers to frost bite (those who know me, know that that my fingers can turn blue in the middle of summer!).... But, do you know what, if I can raise awareness of TACT's work *and* raise money for them, then it will all be worth it.
Every penny (and no amount is too small) TACT receives will be used to create a brighter future for some of the UK's most vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
