Set up in memory of Rosie May Storrie, age 10, who was brutally murdered in 2003. The Rosie May Foundation is a little charity with a BIG vision committed to creating a living legacy for children, especially girls, giving them a future that Rosie May was denied. "Make A Difference Together"

Story

Thanks for stumbling across my page!

This coming summer, I'll be heading to Sri Lanka with my girlfriend, Laura, to help out at the Rosie May Children's Home. In preparation for that, I'll be doing the Adidas Silverstone sponsored half marathon in March for the Rosie May Memorial Fund.

But why, Karl?

Good question. The short answer is it's a terrific charity and I enjoy a good run. What impressed me most about them is their commitment to doing something practical for the community (and, importantly, with the community) while running a charity that's transparent and upfront with what it's doing and where its money is going.

This also means that all of your donations will end up at the Rosie May Home and not in some bureaucratic jumble (not including the small percent Just Giving takes from Gift Aid).

To find out more, check out their website (http://www.rosie-may.com/rosiemayhome.html) and follow them on Twitter (@RosieMayHome).

I'll keep this page updated with more information both about what I'm doing and what the charity's doing. There might be a blog with pictures and whatnot, Twitter updates, I might even make an Instagram just to cover every single base, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I'll keep pictures of running shorts to a minimum. No one wants to see that, not even in sepia.

Thanks for the support!
